TRAINING

Training is held on Wednesday evenings 7pm - 8pm on the astroturf behind the Batley Sports and Tennis Centre. (Directions here).

HOME GAMES

Home games are played on Sundays throughout the season. We play on the fields behind Batley Sports and Tennis Centre, access to the fields from Batley Low Lane (What 3 Words). Parking can be found in the carpark to the rear of the sports centre (Directions here)

MEET THE TEAM

Welcome to the U16 Lions team where our core values are “teamwork, effort and respect”. We started life in the Huddersfield JFL Division 8 and with hard work, dedication and a great team ethic we have worked our way up through the leagues and now find ourselves at the heady heights of Division 4. We have a squad of 18 players, 3 coaches and a fantastic group of parents, carers and supporters. 

We have a great group of lads from year 11 in local high schools including Morley Academy, Bruntcliffe, Batley Grammar and BBG. Most of the team have been at Howden Clough since our beginning at U7’s. They’re not only teammates, they’re best mates and have grown up together working hard, playing hard and having fun. The core of the team are Leeds Utd, Huddersfield Town and Bradford City fans, and the banter is off the charts.
