TRAINING

Training is held on Wednesday evenings 8pm - 10pm on the astroturf behind the Batley Sports and Tennis Centre. (Directions here).

HOME GAMES

Home games are played on Saturdays throughout the season. We play on the fields behind Batley Sports and Tennis Centre, access to the fields from Batley Low Lane (What 3 Words). Parking can be found in the carpark to the rear of the sports centre (Directions here)

THE TEAMS

Clough have a long standing history within the local football pyramid, plying their trade in the West Yorkshire Football League for over 40 years with two teams 1st Team playing in Division 2 and the Reserves playing in the newly formed Alliance Division 1 League.

JASON GARTSHORE - 1ST TEAM MANAGER

Jason started at Howden Clough 11 years ago by joining U14’s and moved up all the age ranges upto U21’s where the U21’s won their league going the season unbeaten.

1st TEAM

1st Team Manager Jason Gartshore oversees the whole Open Age set up regarding both Staff and Player recruitment with the hope they buy into the medium- and long-term vision of the Open Age philosophy of being two teams but a one club mentality.

Jason’s next steps was Open age along with ling time Clough legend Marko Aprcovic (who took 1st team duties) Jason spent 4 years with the Reserves team trying to rebuild the Club after the Clubs 1st Team were relegated from Division 1 in 2019.

Player recruitment and COVID hit the Club hard stopping the building plan, and when Marko stepped away start 2023/24 – Jason stepped up to become 1st Team Manager and Secretary (along with player recruitment, social media and gaining Sponsorship to keep the Open Age running).

RESERVES

Reserve Team saw a new man in charge for the 2024/25 Season with James West coming in for his first stint as Open Age Football Management, and with the junior players stepping up has seen a change in fortune for the Res team pushing established teams close and winning games.
